In the autumn of 2016, Britt and Will stumbled upon an unexpected passion that would change their lives forever. Britt, with her innate eye for design, and Will, with an insatiable need to keep his hands busy amid his graduate studies, began to explore the world of Airstream restoration. What they initially intended as a unique solution for tailgating Texas A&M home games while leasing out their home, evolved into something far beyond what they could have imagined.

With hearts full of excitement and heads blissfully unaware of what lay ahead, they dived into the restoration of their first Airstream, a 1971 Sovereign 31'. The trailer, acquired through a chain of friendly connections, was not originally intended for a flip. As they grappled with the complexities of their newfound venture, they found themselves in the midst of an intense, demanding, yet profoundly rewarding journey of learning and growth.

The challenges they faced were numerous, but so too was their perseverance. The more strenuous the work, the deeper their appreciation grew for the process. And upon completing their inaugural project, they were overcome with a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction that they had never experienced before. Captivated by this newfound passion, they bid farewell to their first masterpiece, which found its new home with a delightful couple in Colorado.

The desire to replicate the experience led them to their second project within mere days - a 1985 Airstream Sovereign 25'. Here, they built upon their previous learnings, refining their skills and honing their processes. The result was a superior product that reflected the growth in their craftsmanship. As much as they desired to keep this jewel of an Airstream, the allure of the restoration process proved too enticing.

In May 2018, they embarked on their most ambitious project yet - a 1985 Sovereign 34'. What they saw as a 'beautiful disaster' at acquisition, was transformed into a beautifully restored work of art through their skilled and diligent efforts. This labor of love brought to the forefront the principle that big risks often lead to even bigger rewards.

What started as a serendipitous purchase to satisfy a personal need has, over time, ignited a profound passion and unveiled a journey of love, adventure, and travel. Through their company, Trailer Trashin, they have since then breathed new life into over 20 vintage trailers. The spark that was lit with that first renovation continues to glow brighter with every project, and they are just getting started. They look forward to sharing their love of Airstream restoration with more people, transforming more trailers into functional works of art.
